FAQ

What is pickelball?

Pickleball is a court sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. It can be played as singles or doubles. The equipment required are paddles, a plastic ball full of holes, and a net. It is a quick-moving game, providing a great cardiovascular workout that is easier on the joints than tennis and badminton. It has surged in popularity over the last five years, and though it is very popular with seniors, is enjoyed by all ages.

What is the quality of the new tennis court surface?

The exact specifications of the new court surface will be confirmed in the design stage. We have budgeted for a significantly improved sports surface, with both playability and safety in mind.

Will putting a rink on the tennis courts damage a new surface?

It would not be good stewardship to flood a brand new tennis court surface and cause damage. We will develop a strategy to address this issue with the product manufacturers of the court’s surface during the design stage.

Can basketball hoops or other activities be added to make the surfaces more multi-use?

Absolutely.  We’d like the surfaces to be as well used as possible.  We’ll explore all the possible layers of play during the design stage. Stay tuned!

The Concept Plan is too small, I can’t read the text.
